The history of Australia

At first Australia was habitated by aborigens till the year 1522, when the Europeans explorers, apparently Portugeses,   arrived in a quest for exploration, mineral wealth, and the spreading of the catholic religion, although that the first registered European discovery was in 1606, from that point many European explorers started to investigate the surrounding islands of Australia, till the settle of the first Brittish Colony in 1788.

At first the mission of the Brittish colony was the harvest of tobacco, sugar and cotton, however the members of the colony were several convicts of the Brittish government, a few years after the starting of the colony there Australia gold rush started were the convicts started to mine gold that belonged to the Brittish Crown, this event provoked the inmigration of several people to Australia

The Brittish goverment continued to send convicts to Australia til 1868

In January 1 of 1901 Australia achieved the federation of colonies, and was oficially a free nation, at that time it started to being reign by a parlament government
