Australia is an important country in the world that is part of the Commonwealth. Latin America has considerable untapped potential for Australian trade and investment growth in the coming decades. The potential is most evident in Mexico.
Australian exports to Mexico include many of their traditions items, such as meat, live animals and coal. In the other hand Mexico is also trying to see more opportunities in countries that are in the Pacific Zone like Japan, China, Hong Kong, India and Australia.

Mexican main exports to Australia are: wine, avocado, silver jewelry and some manufacture food. Nevertheless our Commercial Balance with this country is negative, this means that Mexico export less products than our country buy from that country
To take full advantage, both countries are working closely to promote understanding of the region´s potential and to support the efforts of individual firms that already are looking to make their mark
Mexican companies as CEMEX and GRUMA are now in the Australian market with a good acceptation. Cemex bought a very well known company in Australia but Three years after have to sell it because the company has some problems around the world. Gruma, that is part of Maseca, has a total approval in that country with corn and wheat tortillas.
